Some private parking spaces aren't bookable through Peuka around the clock. Providers set fixed availability times during which the space can be booked through Peuka. Outside these times, it's set aside for staff, visitors, or patients of the business, for example, and therefore isn't bookable through Peuka. You can see the exact times in advance under "Availability". If your chosen time doesn't work, you'll get a clear message before payment.
Why are some parking spaces only bookable at certain times?
Providers decide the availability times during which their parking space can be booked through Peuka. For a space next to a doctor's office, that's often the time outside consultation hours — during consultation hours, the space is used as normal by the practice's patients, it's just not bookable through Peuka then. This often applies similarly to law firms, trade businesses, government offices, or supermarkets. Outside the set availability times, the space isn't bookable through Peuka.
How do I know when a parking space is available?
On the parking space's detail page under "Availability", split into the tabs "Days" and "Periods". There's also a note "Available from {{time}}" — so you already know in advance when the space becomes bookable again.
Unbookable times aren't greyed out in the time picker — whether your chosen time works is shown once you've selected it, and this happens before payment.
What happens if I try to book an unavailable time?
A message appears: "This parking is not available for the selected time." (shown as "Period not available" in the banner). The booking is stopped before anything is charged. The note "Available again from {{time}}" also shows you when it works again — just choose that time or a different one.
Can I book a parking space during the business hours of the doctor's office or store?
Usually not through Peuka, if the space is set aside for staff, visitors, or patients of the business during that time. This is up to the individual provider — that's why times can vary by location, whether it's a doctor's office, law firm, trade business, government office, or supermarket. You can see which times apply to a specific space in advance under "Availability".
