On the Peuka map, private parking spaces appear as individual pins with a P symbol. Public parking zones are shown as marked areas, and in the app they also carry a parking meter symbol. You book private parking spaces directly via the pin, while in public parking zones you park with a digital parking ticket.
What do the pin colours on the Peuka map mean?
The colour of a pin shows you whether a parking space is available and whether it offers power:
Light green pin: the parking space is available
Red pin: the parking space is currently occupied, used by the host, or not available for an immediate start
Dark green pin: an available parking space with EV charging
A red pin doesn't mean the parking space can never be booked. It may be available at a later time. The map shows you parking spaces that are available now or at a later time.
You can recognise parking spaces with power by a dark green pin. If a parking space with power is currently occupied, it appears as a red pin, just like all other occupied parking spaces.
How to open the legend:
In the app: Tap the info symbol on the map. There you'll find the overview Pin Colors.
In the web version: Click the info icon (i) on the map and open Map information. You'll find the pin colours in the Legend section.
What do public parking zones look like on the Peuka map?
Public parking zones appear as marked areas instead of individual pins. In the app they carry a parking meter symbol and are called Public parking zone in the legend. In the web version, you'll see them as coloured areas with their own zone pin.
When you select a public parking zone, Smart Parking opens and shows the Zone. This is where you start your digital parking ticket. For a step-by-step guide, see the article How do I park with Peuka in public parking areas.
Where can I find the filter for public parking zones on the Peuka map?
In the app:
Open the Map.
Tap Filter.
Select Public parking zone (description: GPS-based street parking).
In the web version:
Open the map filter on the map.
Select the icon for public parking zones.
I want to reserve a parking space in a public parking zone in advance. Is that possible?
No. Public parking zones can't be reserved. There you park with a digital parking ticket, which you start via Smart Parking when you park in the zone. You can book in advance the parking spaces that appear on the Peuka map as individual pins with a P symbol.
The pin of a parking space is red. Can I still book it?
Yes, often for a later time. A red pin means the parking space is currently occupied, used by the host, or not available for an immediate start. A red pin doesn't mean the parking space can never be booked. It may be available at a later time. For more details, see the article Why can't I book this parking space right now.
I want to charge my electric car. How do I find a parking space with charging on the map?
You can recognise parking spaces with power on the Peuka map by a dark green pin. If a parking space with power is currently occupied, it appears as a red pin, just like all other occupied parking spaces. To check the legend, tap the info symbol on the map and open Pin Colors in the app, or click the info icon (i) and open Map information in the web version, where you'll find the Legend section.
