How do I park in public spaces with Peuka?

Learn how to park in public parking zones with the Peuka app: select a zone, enter your license plate, and pay – your digital parking session starts right away.

In the Peuka app, you select the public parking zone you want via the map or the public zone filter, enter your license plate and the parking duration, and complete the payment. Your digital parking session is active immediately afterward.

How to park in a few steps

  1. Park your vehicle: Park in the public parking area you want to use.

  2. Select a zone: In the app, open the map or the "Public Parking Zone" filter. On the web, use the filter icon – once activated, it shows "Public parking zones".

  3. Enter your details: Enter your license plate and the parking duration you need.

  4. Complete payment: Pay the amount – your digital parking session becomes active immediately and is shown in the app.

Also follow any signage and instructions at the location.

Common special cases

What about free short-term parking windows (e.g. a local grace period)?

Some parking zones offer a free time window, shown in the app as "free until". Check the zone selection screen to see whether and to what extent this applies at your location.

How long can I park in total?

Tap the parking zone you want in the app: if a maximum parking duration is set for that zone, it's shown there directly.

Do I park for free with an electric vehicle?

This depends on the location and the signage there. Check on-site whether free parking applies and under what conditions (e.g. an active charging session).

How does the local parking authority know I parked with Peuka?

In zones with an active enforcement connection, Peuka automatically sends the zone, parking session ID, your license plate, and start and end time to the connected enforcement system after payment. The enforcement officer on site checks your ticket through this system.

Do I need to leave a notice or sticker in my car?

You don't need to leave any notice or sticker in your vehicle for this: your license plate and booking are automatically linked digitally and serve as proof on site.
