With Peuka, you book a private parking spot directly from the map view: choose the spot, enter your time and license plate, and pay – your booking is confirmed as soon as payment succeeds, with no separate approval from the host. For public parking zones, you start a parking session instead: these spots can't be reserved in advance, only paid for the current parking time.
Reservation vs. parking session: what's the difference?
Private parking spots can be reserved in advance – your booking applies as soon as payment is confirmed. Public parking zones can't be reserved. There, you start a parking session for the current or immediately upcoming parking time.
Reserving a private parking spot
In the app
Open a parking spot on the map.
On the detail page, tap “Reserve Now”.
On the “Reservation” screen, choose your license plate and parking time – “Park Now” for a short stay, or “Reserve and long-term parking” for a longer period.
Tap “RESERVE NOW” to go to the summary.
On the “Confirm Booking” screen, check the booking details and “Price Overview”, then choose a payment method.
Complete the booking with “PAY NOW [amount]”.
Once payment succeeds, you'll see “Booking Confirmed!” with “Your parking spot is reserved” – no additional approval from the host is needed.
On the web
1. Select the spot on the map or detail page and open “Book a parking space”.
2. Enter your parking time and license plate.
3. Continue to the payment page with “[amount] · Next”.
4. Choose a payment method and pay with “Book now for a fee”.
Here too, your booking is confirmed as soon as payment succeeds – there's no separate host approval step.
Starting a parking session in a public parking zone
In the app
Public parking zones can't be reserved. Instead, you start a parking session for the current parking time.
Select a public parking zone on the map.
If several zones exist at that location, choose the right one via “Select Zone”.
Choose your duration and license plate.
Continue with “CONTINUE TO PAYMENT”.
Check the price and payment method in the “Booking Summary”.
Start with “PAY NOW”.
Once payment succeeds, you'll see “Parking Started!” with “Your parking session is active”.
On the web
1. Open the public zone on the map.
2. Choose your license plate and the desired end time or duration.
3. Continue to payment with “[amount] · Next”.
4. Complete with “Start parking process ([amount])”.
Special cases
Does the host still need to approve my booking?
No. For both private parking spots and public parking zones, your booking or parking session is active as soon as payment succeeds – there's no additional approval step.
Can I reserve a public parking zone in advance?
No. For public parking zones, you can only start a parking session for the current or immediately upcoming parking time – advance reservation isn't technically possible there.
